PulseID Automation and Workflow Computer System Requirements


Automation / Administrator Server


Below is a list of the recommended computer specifications for the server that will run the Automation and Workflow Server (Administrator and Embroidery/Print Engines). Increasing RAM memory and/or processor speed will improve system performance. 

  • 3 GHz Quad Core 64-bit Genuine Intel Processor
  • Microsoft Windows® 2012 R2 server or later
  • 16 GB of RAM
  • Minimum 100 GB hard disk drive space available
  • LAN Network Connection 
  • MySQL Community Server or Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 / 2012 Server Standard Edition.
  • Microsoft .Net Framework version 4.7
  • IIS 7 or later


Note: An internet connection is required for the activation of the Automation license, however it is not required once the software has been activated. 


Adobe Illustrator version CC for Windows is required for the creation of vector template files.

Tajima DG/ML by Pulse Version 15 Illustrator Extreme or higher level is required for the creation of embroidery templates.


Print Manager


The print manager service is the interface between the printing/cutting machines and the PulseID Automation system.

Below is a list of the recommended specifications for any of the computers on the production floor or retail locations running the Print Manager service.  Increasing RAM memory and/or processor speed will improve system performance. 

  • 3.0 GHz Quad Core Genuine Intel Processor
  • Microsoft  Windows® 10 or later
  • MySQL Community Server or Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 / 2012 Server Standard Edition.
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • Minimum 1 GB hard disk space available
  • LAN Network Connection
  • Web (http://) access to the PulseID Administrator Server.


Dispatcher / Collector


The Dispatcher and Collector services the interface between the embroidery machines and the PulseID Automation system.

Below is a list of the recommended specifications for any of the computers on the production floor or retail locations running the Dispatcher and Collector services.  Increasing RAM memory and/or processor speed will improve system performance. 

  • 3.0 GHz Quad Core Genuine Intel Processor
  • Microsoft  Windows® 10 or later
  • MySQL Community Server or Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 / 2012 Server Standard Edition.
  • 8 GB of RAM
  • Minimum 1 GB hard disk space available
  • LAN Network Connection

Tajima Embroidery Machines


Tajima embroidery machines must be on the same network subnet as the computer running the Dispatcher and Collector services.  Multicasting must be allowed to enable the collection of machine status information.  Tajima embroidery machines communicate on the following network ports:

A USB based barcode scanner is required at each machine.  Any USB type barcode scanner capable of reading the barcodes from your worksheets should be sufficient, however, the application has been tested using a Honeywell Voyager Model MS9520 barcode scanner with good results.
